The start

They say the hardest step of every journey, is the first. I tend to agree with that, for the most part. However, this is the picture that spurred my desire to take pictures that most people miss. I was camping in Strawberry when I happened along this moment. It wasn't a hard step to take, it was almost compulsive.
A back lit image of a grandpa and his granddaughter walking back to camp. Her little legs were moving twice as fast as his, and with every step, she skipped. Harmony.  His face tells the story though. Although he is looking forward, you can tell where his focus really is. On that tiny hand that fits right inside of his. He looks strong, attentive, protective almost. I think she is floating. I have no idea who these people are, and I hope to someday give them a copy. But for now, they are a story of beginnings. Thank you.
